Eldoret Club is a private Member’s Club which was established in 1924 by a group of Uasin Gishu residents who wanted a place to meet socially, and which would provide relaxation and entertainment for them and their families. The Club is situated on Nandi Road (off the Eldoret-Nairobi highway) opposite the Hospice and just 6km from the Eldoret Central Business District.
Eldoret Club is situated in beautiful grounds ‘on the outskirts of the town, on what was once farmland. There is an excellent Clubhouse, with full bar and restaurant services; 24 cottage type double bedrooms; tennis courts, squash court, badminton court, swimming pool, gymnasium and sauna. A well designed nine-hole golf course is both an added attraction and a worthy challenge.
The Club has a resident Secretary/Manager, and a membership of approximately 1200, drawn from all walks of professional and business life.
They reciprocate with several clubs in Kenya and other countries, and also enjoy affiliation with the Commonwealth Trust in London, England.
