Limuru Country Club is a private Members’ club that was established in 1926 by colonial settlers. It opened its first nine holes in 1949 and the second nine holes in 1952. The club is located 25 kilometers from Nairobi, surrounded by luxuriously verdant tea fields with a proud reputation of providing Members and their guests with a friendly, welcoming, and inclusive experience.
Golf is the dominant sport at Limuru country club. Just 30 minutes drive from Nairobi city center, Limuru’s eighteen-hole course is widely regarded as the most scenic in Kenya with one of the best clubhouse veranda views in all of Africa. At an altitude of seven thousand (7000) feet and set amidst the sprawling tea plantations and rolling farmlands, Limuru provides a unique hole-by-hole challenge for all members, visitors, and guests.
The Limuru course played host to the Africa Amateur Golf Team Championship event in October 2015, the first time the event was held in East Africa.
